What is a Thigh Lift?
A thigh lift is a surgical technique for sculpting the upper legs. With the thigh lift treatment, excess skin is trimmed and tightened while excess fat is removed to produce the desired results. These techniques can help address signs of aging, sagging skin, stubborn fat and other cosmetic concerns that affect the thighs and the nearby areas of the body. Depending on the patient’s cosmetic goals, the thigh lift can be performed to target the inner thighs, the outer thighs or both areas simultaneously for comprehensive results.
Benefits of a Thigh Lift
Benefits of the thigh lift treatment include:
- Reduction in stubborn fat
- Reduction in sagging skin
- Enhanced contours for the inner thighs, outer thighs or both
Who is the Ideal Candidate for a Thigh Lift?
The ideal candidate for a thigh lift is a patient who is in good health and near their ideal weight, but who may be struggling with stubborn fat and loose skin in the thighs. However, the best way to determine your candidacy for a thigh lift is to schedule a consultation with Dr. David Klein or Dr. Andrew Kochuba. During this consultation, they can determine if the thigh lift technique is the best solution for you.
What is the Thigh Lift Procedure Like?
The thigh lift procedure is performed with general anesthesia. To begin treatment, an incision will be made along the inside of the groin. For outer thigh lifts, this incision will extend around the hips to provide access to the entirety of the thighs. In any case, Dr. David Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba make every effort to minimize scarring and place the incisions where they will be well-hidden. Through these incisions, excess skin will be trimmed and tightened and stubborn fat will be removed. After the desired results are achieved, the incisions will be closed. This procedure may take up to three hours to perform.
What Can I Expect After a Thigh Lift?
After your thigh lift surgery, you can expect swelling, bruising and discomfort in the treatment area as the tissue heals. Ensuring that the tissue heals properly is key to achieving optimal results and enjoying a comfortable recovery period. For this reason, many patients take about two weeks off of work and other activities to rest as much as possible. Additional downtime may be necessary, particularly in regards to exercise and other strenuous activities involving the lower body. On the day of your procedure, we’ll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to help you successfully navigate the recovery process. Results will be visible immediately, but your final results may not be visible until any swelling and related side effects fade.
How Much Does a Thigh Lift Cost in Charlotte, NC?
The cost of your thigh lift will be determined based on the unique treatment plan you develop with Dr. David Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba during your initial consultation. As an elective cosmetic treatment, thigh lifts are not usually covered by insurance. However, we do everything possible to make this and other treatments affordable for our patients. Payments can be made via cash, check, major credit card and CareCredit® financing.
