What keeps you from loving your lips? Are they too thin, uneven or just not pouty enough? Now you can have the lips of your dreams with PermaLip™ implants. Board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. David F. Klein, specializes in this amazing lip augmentation procedure for men and women in Charlotte, Salisbury, Harrisburg, Concord and surrounding areas of North Carolina.
What is Lip Augmentation?
Lip augmentation is a cosmetic procedure that enhances the shape and size of your lips. Dr. Klein has chosen PermaLip™ implants for men and women who want lips that are:
- More pronounced, yet natural looking
- Balanced with other facial features
- Smooth and soft
Benefits of PermaLip™ Implants
You have many options for lip augmentation, such as a combination of dermal fillers and traditional silicone implants. Each of these has its own advantages and limitations. Dermal fillers are only temporary and require follow-up treatments with injections. Traditional implants can make your lips look overdone and feel hard. With PermaLip™ implants, you get the best of both worlds.
- Custom fit
- A range of enhancement options, from subtle to dramatic
- One simple, easy procedure — no follow-up treatments needed
- The implants can be removed
- Reduced risk of complications
Who is the Ideal Candidate for Lip Augmentation?
Just about any man or woman is an ideal candidate for PermaLip™ lip augmentation because the implants are customized to fit your natural lips and cosmetic goals.
What Do I Need to Do Before Lip Augmentation?
PermaLip™ implants are amongst the most advanced options for lip augmentation, and the results are largely dependent upon the expertise of the plastic surgeon. Dr. Klein is a highly-respected plastic surgeon who is known for the incredible results he achieves with PermaLip™ implants. We recommend that you schedule a personal consultation with him before having lip augmentation.
How Long Does It Take to Perform PermaLip™ Implants?
The procedure for having your PermaLip™ implants inserted into your natural lips takes about 30 minutes.
What to Expect After Lip Augmentation
PermaLip™ implants require a quick in-office procedure with local anesthesia and only two small incisions at the corners of the lips. This simple, quick approach to lip augmentation means that you have almost no downtime. You only need to rest at home for one day. For the first seven days, your lips will be swollen, tender and bruised. You should avoid applying pressure to your lips for two weeks. This includes any type of massage, drinking with a straw and applying lipstick or lip balm.
Will I Have Scars After Getting PermaLip™ Implants?
The incisions that are used for PermaLip™ implants are very tiny and placed at the outer corners of the lips. The scars are so small that people will not be able to see them.
When Will I See the Results?
You will see a noticeable change in your lip shape and size right after the procedure. The swelling can mask the final results for a few weeks.
How Long Will the Results of PermaLip™ Implants Last?
As the name implies, PermaLip™ implants may be long-lasting. Should you change your mind about the shape and/or size of your enhanced lips, Dr. Klein can easily remove and/or replace the implants.
If you are unsure about having lip implants, Dr. Klein may recommend that you try dermal fillers for lip augmentation first.
