Q: What are the most common questions you receive from patients regarding Cellulaze?
A: Most of the questions we receive concern the procedure itself. People want to make sure the procedure is safe (it is) and want to know how it works.
Q: How can patients prepare for their procedure?
A: There is very little preparation needed. We advise the patients to relax. It is a safe, low risk procedure. We can use local anesthesia if the patient prefers.
Q: What are some determining factors for if a patient is an adequate candidate for Cellulaze?
A: Most people with cellulite can tolerate the treatment. However, we do take into consideration the patient’s age and skin condition.
Q: How does HKB Renaissance Plastic Surgery ensure that patients are comfortable during the Cellulaze consultation and procedure?
A: We try to make patients as comfortable as possible, and we do everything we can to make patients feel confident and safe. Not only that, but we make sure to thoroughly explain everything to the patient during their consultation, addressing any concerns they may have.
Q: What can patients expect during the procedure?
A: The procedure takes about an hour. The doctor inserts a small cannula under the skin and fires a laser thermal energy to the areas that need to be treated. Given the anesthesia, the procedure is virtually pain-free and fairly simple.
Q: What does the recovery process entail?
A: The patient should wear a compression garment for about two weeks after the procedure. There will be some soreness the first day, but other than that, the recovery process is very smooth and straightforward.
Q: How long do the results last?
A: There is about an 80% improvement overall, and the results continuously improve for the first six months.
Q: Are there any side effects from the Cellulaze procedure?
A: Aside from minor bruising and swelling, which could last for a week or two at most, there are very few side effects.
