Benefits of Breast Surgery
The breasts are considered a central part of having a toned, attractive body. If you have breasts that are out of proportion with your body type, or if you are a man with enlarged breasts, this can make you feel less attractive. Dr. Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba can help you choose the breast surgery that is right for you to achieve the best results.
Who is the Ideal Candidate for Breast Surgery?
Breast surgery is appropriate for women who are unhappy with their breasts, or for men struggling with symptoms of gynecomastia. The surgery helps with:
- Sagging or downward-pointing breasts on women
- Overly large breasts on women
- Asymmetrical and/or underdeveloped breasts on women
What Do I Need to Do Before Breast Surgery?
Schedule a consultation with Dr. Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba to learn more about our breast surgeries. They use a patient-centered approach to help you make an informed decision about your breast surgery procedures.
How Long Does It Take to Perform Breast Surgery?
The length of your surgery depends on the type of surgery. In general, breast surgery can take as little as 90 minutes and as long as two hours.
What to Expect After Breast Surgery
Aftercare is a key component of being thrilled with the results of your breast surgery. Please follow your post-surgery instructions very carefully, and call us with any questions and concerns. You will need to stay home for some time, and you should avoid strenuous activities until you are released by Dr. Klein or Dr. Andrew Kochuba.
Will I Have Scars After Getting Breast Surgery?
Breast surgery does require incisions that create scars. The scars are well hidden and will fade over time, but do not completely disappear. Dr. Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba will explain the location of your scars during the consultation.
When Will I See the Results?
You will see results right after your breast surgery. Swelling will mask the full results for six months to one year.
How Long Will the Results of Breast Surgery Last?
For the most part, breast surgery is long-lasting. Some men and women who have breast reduction surgery may develop new tissue in the breasts, which could eventually require a second surgery.
How Much Does Breast Surgery Cost in Charlotte?
With the exception of a breast reduction, breast surgery is not covered by medical insurance. In order for a breast reduction to be covered for a female patient, the surgery must be required to alleviate certain physical symptoms. We will explain your insurance coverage and associated out-of-pocket costs after your consultation. Payment is required before your surgery, and we accept cash, checks and major credit cards. Financing is available through CareCredit®.
