If you are looking to achieve a sculpted abdomen, the abdominal liposuction technique strategically removes fat around the stomach to produce your desired results. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. David Klein and board-eligible plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Kochuba of HKB Renaissance Plastic Surgery offer this powerful liposuction technique to the residents of Charlotte, Harrisburg and Salisbury, NC.
What is Abdominal Liposuction?
Abdominal liposuction is a specialized liposuction technique for delivering body sculpting benefits to the stomach and the surrounding areas. With abdominal liposuction, fat can be strategically removed to enhance the cosmetic benefits far beyond a traditional liposuction treatment. By targeting specific areas of the abdomen, patients can enjoy dramatic improvements in the abdominal region that perfectly complement their natural figure.
Benefits of Abdominal Liposuction
Benefits of the abdominal liposuction treatment include:
- Targeted liposuction treatment for the most common problem area
- Strategic fat removal for optimal abdominal contouring
Who is the Ideal Candidate for Abdominal Liposuction?
The ideal candidate for abdominal liposuction is a patient who wants to enhance the contours of the abdomen without more aggressive body sculpting surgeries. Patients with significant amounts of sagging skin may want to consider alternatives such as a tummy tuck, while the abdominal liposuction treatment may be better suited for patients seeking smaller changes in the abdomen. However, the best way to determine your candidacy for abdominal liposuction is to schedule a consultation with Dr. David Klein or Dr. Andrew Kochuba. During this consultation, they can determine if abdominal liposuction is the best solution for you.
What is the Abdominal Liposuction Procedure Like?
Abdominal liposuction may be performed with local or general anesthesia. To begin treatment, Dr. David Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba will make a small incision in the abdominal region. The location and size of this incision will depend on your treatment goals and your personalized treatment plan. In any case, they make every effort to keep any incisions as small and inconspicuous as possible. Through these incisions, a metal tube, called a cannula, will be inserted into the body to vacuum out body fat in the desired areas. Once removed, the abdomen will have a flatter, sculpted appearance and the incisions will be closed. This procedure may take up to two hours to perform.
What Can I Expect After Abdominal Liposuction?
After your abdominal liposuction, you can expect swelling, bruising and discomfort in the treatment area as the tissue heals. Ensuring that the tissue heals properly is key to achieving optimal results and enjoying a comfortable recovery period. For this reason, many patients take one to two weeks off of work and other activities to rest as much as possible. In some cases, additional downtime may be necessary, particularly in regards to exercise and other strenuous activities. On the day of your procedure, we’ll provide you with detailed aftercare instructions to help you successfully navigate the recovery process. Results will be visible immediately, but your final results may not be visible until any swelling and related side effects fade.
How Much Does Abdominal Liposuction Cost in Charlotte, NC?
The cost of your abdominal liposuction procedure will be determined based on the unique treatment plan you develop with Dr. David Klein and Dr. Andrew Kochuba during your initial consultation. As an elective cosmetic treatment, abdominal liposuction is not usually covered by insurance. However, we do everything possible to make this and other treatments affordable for our patients.
