Preparing for Your Facelift
If you’ve made the decision to undergo the facelift procedure with Your Renaissance’s Dr. Klein, a top Charlotte and Concord plastic surgeon, rest assured that you are in the hands of one of the most experienced, trusted surgeon in North Carolina.
In order to ensure that the post-surgery recovery is smooth and efficient, follow these pre-surgery guidelines:
- If you use any nicotine products, including cigarettes, patches, and gum, it is vital that you quit using these products at least one month before the surgery. Nicotine has been proven to elongate and hinder the recovery process.
- Do not take any medicine that causes thinning of the blood in the week preceding the procedure. This can lead to complications during the procedure, but it also increases the risk of bruising.
- If you struggle with high blood pressure and hypertension, consult your physician to ensure that you are on the proper medication for maintaining these conditions.
- It is important that you prepare for recovery in the weeks before the procedure by stocking up on medical supplies, comfort items, and easy-to-make food. Also, make sure that you have a plan of transportation to and from the Your Renaissance office in Concord, as you will be unable to operate a vehicle following the procedure.
And, lastly, do not hesitate to contact Your Renaissance with any questions or concerns regarding your facelift. For more information, call Dr. Klein and the Your Renaissance office directly at 704-784-4008.
